Thank you so much for taking the time to read and write such a wonderful response to my post.

However, the people in question here were just a shade darker than I was. I understand the struggles of brown people. But these women were far from brown. Also, no one in their families or friends subjected them to any kind of colorism. These are educated working women coming from well to do families.

If they wanted help, they could have asked for it upfront. I don't believe sneering at anyone helps you in your fight or is a way of asking for support.

But thanks. I get your point. I should have mentioned that in the story. I'll take care.
